Fortnite has already proven to be a good earner for Epic Games, acting as a way to market their engine as well as acting as a profitable venture in its own right, especially the game's Free-to-play Battle Royale mode.
Epic Games has showcased the sheer malleability of their Unreal Engine 4 Engine by creating a mobile version of Fortnite: Battle Royale, not only creating a visually appealing mobile port but a version of the game which can run alongside the title's PC and multiplayer versions with cross-platform play. Regardless of how you look at this, Epic Games has accomplished an impressive feat here.
So far Fortnite is only available on iOS devices and has reportedly earned over $15 million since the game's release on the platform, which is a tremendous amount of money for a free-to-play game that was released less than a month ago.
Right now, Fortnite: Battle Royale is the number one game on the Apple app store in over 20 regions worldwide, with the game earning an expected $6 in the US alone during the past week.
