Introduction

Occasionally we have a product in the OC3D offices which very nearly reviews itself. It is far enough in the life span of the technology that everybody understands what it should be capable of, and the extra features of this particular model are obvious enough that they need very little explanation.

The Zotac GTX 1080Ti ArcticStorm Mini is very much a piece of hardware that falls beneath the above description.

It's a GTX 1080Ti, renowned as one of the very best GPUs that money can buy, capable of delivering blazing frame rates at all resolutions in every title including the very latest ones around. Okay there are a couple of seriously expensive options that can slightly outperform it, but for the majority of users this is the GPU that they have at the top of their wishlist or installed in their system.

The second part of the name, ArcticStorm, refers to Zotac's own waterblock factory installed. We've mentioned about the benefits of watercooling your graphics card before when we looked at some AIO solutions, and if you happen to either own a custom watercooling loop or are looking to build one, then a dedicated waterblock is the exact thing you require. With the additional benefits of the factory installation ensuring your warranty remains fully intact. Lastly the Mini is pretty self-explanatory, as the card is significantly shorter than you would expect a GTX 1080Ti PCB to be.

All that is required now is for the temperatures and performance to be good enough to justify the purchase, and that's what we're here to find out.

Technical Specifications

There is no doubt at all that, GP102 featureset aside, the big eye opening element of the ArcticStorm are those compact dimensions. This thing is tiny. GTX 1050 levels of tiny.
