Most manufacturers have their own premium models that have a name writ large upon the history of hardware. Instead of bringing a new name to the party with each update, they retain a familiar name. Compare and contrast the Sony Playstation 1,2,3,4 style of naming to the Microsoft XBOX, 360, XBOX One, Scorpio "names out of a hat" method.
For EVGA their two main players are the FTW graphics cards and, in the motherboard world, the Classified.
Today's review is of the latest in this storied line of motherboards, the Z370 Classified K. A motherboard which is all about providing beast-mode overclocking to the discerning enthusiast.
How does it fare against the stern competition?
We often borrow the specifications table from the manufacturers website so as to ensure that we don't accidentally miss a feature, or take something for granted that might be important to a prospective purchaser. The majority of the EVGA Classified K reads like a what's what of current Z370 motherboard thinking, but spotting the Creative Sound Core3D audio is a nice surprise. It certainly makes a change from the more popular RealTek solutions.
